A slightly more modern version of traditional PA Dutch Hex signs seen on barns in our area. These designs were influenced by that heritage and history. After some research I chose to use symbols of prosperity since these were commissioned and made for a newly opening restaurant. I don't have in-progress shots of both, but the process was the same.
